Terre de Semences - Terms and Conditions for Supply of Goods

Please close this window after you have finished reading this page or press Continue at the bottom of this page.

1. All seeds supplied by us are sold in good faith, and are certified as organic by an approved body, such as Ecocert or OCIA, but we cannot give any absolute guarantee as to their status (GM or otherwise).

2. All of our seeds are supplied prepacketed, in sealed kraft paper packets, and the majority are printed in English, but some may be supplied in packets where the details are printed in French.

3. This service is primarily intended for gardeners, and the packets contain the sort of quantity required by a large family - some a lot more. Commercial growers should contact us first about availability and conditions of supply.

4. Given that once sent, we have no control over how the seeds have been kept, or the conditions under which they have been germinated, we will not normally consider refunding or replacing seeds. Particular care should be exercised in the germination of peppers, where the organic nature of the seed itself makes them more prone to rot.

5. We will not accept liability for any consequential loss, injury or expenses arising out of the purchase or use of our seeds.

6. Seeds are sent by post, complete with customs declaration (for orders outside the EU) stating their contents as agricultural / garden seeds. It is the responsibility of the customer to check on any customs restrictions on the importation of seeds into their country.

7. For customers outside the UK, "standard postage" involves the sending of the seeds in a padded packet by airmail to the cardholder's own address. A proof of posting certificate will be obtained, and any non-delivery will be at the risk of the customer.

8. For all customers, there is the option to have the seeds sent by registered / international registered post, with built in compensation up to certain limits (depending on the destination) or the market value (whichever is the lower). This service is available at an extra cost of £5.00 per package.

9. We would normally expect to send seeds or catalogues within seven days of receiving an order, but there may be times when, for a variety of reasons, there may be delays. Orders made during December should expect some delay as a result of Christmas post. At other times, if you have not received your order within three weeks, please advise us immediately by email, giving your full name and address and merchant's reference number / shopping cart ID (found on the credit card payment page).

10. By ordering seeds or a catalogue through this website, you agree to accept these terms and conditions.
